When did you begin DJ'ing and what made you start?

I began DJ’ing at the age of 15, when I started to go to clubs to listen to the big DJ’s at the time. I use to bunk of lessons at school (Not Encouraged) to go around pals houses who had decks and tolerant parents who didn’t mind the racket noise Music... What made me start is how the big DJ’s at the time used to take control of the crowd and take you on a journey and the most important aspect for me the MIXING...

What would you say influenced you towards House music?

The tune that first made me sit up and take notice of house music was “what about this love” by Mr Fingers, can’t remember the year it was out, but was definitely feeling it. With that tune I loved the soulful elements of it and it was completely different to what was about musically at the time. Absolute masterpiece of a record that still sounds good today.

Fast forward a few years and the tune that grabbed me and refused to let go was Deep Inside by MAW which converted me to house music and has kept me there since.. The tune had all the elements that I love and check for, it was soulful, hard and it was banging, perfect for me..

Of the many genres of House, which are your favourite?

I love it all and it depends what mood I am in. All the genres bring something different.. The way I Play house I will lump them all together in my sets so yes, a bit of everything.

Which artists, producers and tracks stand out for you, both now and from the past?

Major influence for me to get into DJ’ing has to be Andy C and Randall in my Jungle/ Drum n bass days, which for me technically, were the best... In the house scene to many to mention... Obvious Stand outs for me Mr Fingers, MAW, Karl “tuff enuff” Brown, Kerri Chandler, Karizma, Romanthony, DJ Spinna, Grant Nelson, Booker T, Phil Asher, Joey Youngman, ReelSoul, Demarkus Lewis and Joe Claussell Too Name a few... As for tracks we be here all day and for now there so much great music out there it would be very hard to name any because I love it all!!

Name some highlights or a profound moment in your time as a DJ

Too many to mention, but the three that stand for me was first playing to a packed House room at SUN CITY at That Club 3-4am set, Nerve racking to say the least but I got through... GROOVE ODYSSEY at Pacha London wicked night...And last but not least joining House FM.

Have you done any production? If not, is it something you aim to do?

Yes you will definitely be hearing beats/ Tracks coming from me and my camp.

Going on from that, what are your musical plans for the future?

To get on the production side of things more, so many ideas on that front.. Invest bit more time, effort and money into my home studio... And also looking to put on some parties in 2014 so watch this space..
