When did you begin DJ'ing and what made you start?

I started DJing publicly when I was about 15 with a few of my friends. I always had an interest in music & used to make hip hop mix tapes using my dads Sony double tape ghetto blaster. That's where I first learned about putting tracks together & mixing.

What would you say influenced you towards House music?

My influences are quite varied. Hip Hop was my first real love when I was small but in my household growing up I was exposed to all sorts including soul, pop, reggae, soca, rare groove & disco. I have an interest in all forms of EDM including garage & drum n bass. I find that house music these days is encompassing elements from all of the genres that I love that's why i like it soo much. Plus at my age the tempo is not too fast for my old bones.

Of the many genres of House, which are your favourite?

My favourite genres of house are Deep, Soulful (the tough stuff), Jackin' & some Tech.

Which artists, producers and tracks stand out for you, both now and from the past?

The list is waaaay too long to compile and I wouldn't want to offend or miss anyone out so you'll have to tune into my show or check out one of my mixes on Soundcloud.

Name some highlights or a profound moment in your time as a DJ

I won a DJ competition back in 2000 which was in aid of world cancer research day put on by University Of West England. I beat 60 other DJ's which I thought was peak. Also Djing to over 3000 people at Ashton Gate Festival in Bristol in the same year. And of course not forgetting securing my weekly slot on House FM.

Have you done any production? If not, is it something you aim to do?

I have done some production. I have numerous tracks sitting on my Mac at home. I have been offered record deals in the past from various distributors, Groove Odyssey record label & Sin Factory Records Chicago. All work in progress at the moment so watch this space.

Going on from that, what are your musical plans for the future?

I'm very selective who I DJ for so my future, unless I'm being paid David Guetta money, doesn't involve a massive amount of gigs so the club scene will have to take me when it can. I am more focused on making music & learning new techniques. I'm currently enrolled on a music production course which I'm find fascinating.
