MIKE CITY WHEN I LUV FT. FAITH EVANS (KENNY DOPE REMIX) BBE MUSIC

AHEAD OF HIS FORTHCOMING ALBUM ‘THE FEEL GOOD AGENDA’, MIKE CITY TEAMS UP WITH FAITH EVANS FOR ‘WHEN I LUV’ AND GETS KENNY DOPE TO SPIN HIS REMIX MAGIC.

American singer, songwriter and record producer Mike City has just released ‘When I Luv’ ahead of his forthcoming album ‘The Feel Good Agenda’. City who follows up his first studio album ‘City Limits’ that was released in 1998 has in more recent times appeared on labels like Defected alongside Crookers as well as featuring on other releases by artists like Sean McCabe and London garage head Booker T.

This new release ‘When I Luv’ features a banging remix from Masters At Work don Kenny Dope. The Brooklyn-born musician takes the track on a rhythmic, heard-jerking house trip that’s fused with raw synth melodies and staggered drum lines whilst keeping the delicious vocal from RnB royalty Faith Evans and City whose velvet tones drape over the 4/4 perfectly.

In a time where house remixes of commercial RnB/Urban tracks are mostly frowned upon, this remix grabs you by the arms and transports you to a simpler time when good music, was judged on its own merit.
