In Tune With Lex Luca -
Wednesday 22:00 - 23:59
When did you begin DJ'ing and what made you start?
I got into DJing aged 15. I bought a pair of Limit 200 (belt drive) turntables and a crap mixer, off my sister's boyfriend at the time, along with a box of acid techno records. I was hooked.
What would you say influenced you towards House music?
Going out clubbing as a teenager, pirate radio, friends and just life in general! I'm a big music fan across all genres, but there's something about that 4x4 kick drum that I connect with.
Of the many genres of House, which are your favourite?
House & Techno - I'm a sucker for a dope bassline, and i like a stylish vocal, at the right time. Groove is massively important too. I try to be open in terms of genre, good music is just that & for me, it's more about the playing the right music, at the right time, for the right crowd. Deep, pumping, sexy, tech, jack are ways that it could help to define my style
Which artists, producers and tracks stand out for you, both now and from the past?
Lauren Garnier - Man With The Red Face is a killer all time classic for me.
Name some highlights or a profound moment in your time as a DJ
