When did you begin DJ'ing and what made you start?

I was 14 when I began learning to mix. I have always been musically minded. From my first drum kit at 5 to my first keyboard at 10  .I think it was just a natural progression!! Mixing and playing music has always been a big part of my life..And always will be!!

What would you say influenced you towards House music?

I was always interested in electronic music. Even stuff from the early eigthies. I started listening to house when it began. I've grown up through the whole dance music era. I think you either like house,or you dont. House is a feeling!

Of the many genres of House, which are your favourite?

My favourite genres are definately Deep and Soulful House. That is what my weekly show on Housefm.net has always consisted of.

Which artists, producers and tracks stand out for you, both now and from the past?

Far too many to mention!! Next question!!

Name some highlights or a profound moment in your time as a DJ

I've played sets at Aquarium, Warehouse, Scala, Opera House but highlights for me are definately Ministry of Sound and also main room sets at Herbal for Bobby & Steve presents. My favourite was playing the last set there on New Years Eve!!

Have you done any production? If not, is it something you aim to do?

My first and only release to date is alongside Matt Qualifide featuring my cousin, Shelley Nelson which is called Taken Me Over.  Released a while back on Groove Odyssey Records.

Going on from that, what are your musical plans for the future?

I've just started getting back into some production,so hopefully you'll be hearing some stuff from myself in the near future. As always, you can catch me every sunday morning with 'The Sunday Morning Shakedown' live on Housefm.net x
